So it was pretty strange to hear crickets as I fell asleep last night, but really nice. Anyway we're here in one piece and we're recovering from the long flight. Our flight was quite nice despite the length. KLM is much nicer than what I'm used to with Air Canada. From the airport in Nairobi we had a very bumpy ride to our hotel which took about 45 minutes or so. We arrived at 11:30pm local time.
The weather this morning is absolutely fantastic. We're staying at the Blue Posts Hotel for the first couple of nights. It's situated between two rivers, each of which has a gorgeous waterfall. We just got back from a hike to the bottom of Thika Falls. I'm sure someone will post pictures later.
